The Green River Chapter is an
organization through which pilots and their friends and
families meet in both flying and social situations in a
spirit of camaraderie; participate in and share aviation
experiences; increase their aviation knowledge; improve
their piloting skills; and promote and support aviation at
the community, local and state levels.
As a group, we work
together and have fun at...
-
Fly-ins, fly-outs,
get-togethers, barbeques and breakfast club meetings.
-
Maintaining our adopted
airport Ranger Creek.
-
Organizing and pulling off the annual
Poker Run and "Old Buzzards" events.
-
Raising funds and
collecting toys for Toys for Tots at our “Christmas in
July” fly-in and at Christmas time.
-
Working with our state
organizations to protect flying privileges in our state.
We meet monthly on the 1st
Saturday. We start off the day at 9am at the Performance Grill in
Auburn, right next to the Auburn Airport (S50). Around 10am we
head on down the street to the Firehouse for our official meeting.
However, on sunny days we may be doing some fly outs instead. So
come on down to the Performance Grill and get the scoop on the day's
activities!

May 10th Ranger Creek Work
Party!
Every year we head
on up into the mountains to clean up Ranger Creek and get it ready for
the flying season. Al Banholzer will be up there bright and early
and have any big FOD removed from the runway for us to fly in. "Al
Traffic Control" will be up and running at 9am. Bring a broom or
rake to help clean the runway. Esther's famous chili feed will be
the lunch faire!
